Maldives Hotels

When people hear the word Maldives, the first thing that might come through their mind would be a dream vacation, a place that is the closest thing to the paradise. Great Beaches, stunning scenery, and a place where you won't want to go home anymore once you visit it. Well, most of the things these people think are actually real.

Maldives actually has 1,190 islands and only around 200 of these islands are inhabited by people, and some of these islands are manmade, while some are disappearing. In fact, over a hundred of these islands have already disappeared because of erosion. Now, enough of the bad stuff about disappearing islands, once you visit Maldives, you might want to stay at the Dusit Thani Maldives which is in Baa Atoll. Here is why, there are certain times of the year where you would see the beach in the resorts vicinity light up at night. Because of some bioluminescent plankton, the water lights up and looks alive, thanks a lot to these plankton.

You love scuba diving? Then this place is for you! Maldives is one of the best place to do scuba diving, here you can experience the crystal clear waters with stingrays, sea turtles, and whales. If you aren't a bit extreme though, you can just go snorkeling, it's still a lot of fun even if you can only see small sea turtles and a lot of colorful fishes. You can also do some island hopping but be sure to wear the proper clothes since Maldives follows a strict Muslim culture. You can also go surfing if you want, just go to The Cinnamon Dhonveli where a lot of pro surfers do their thing.

For food, try to visit the Ithaa Undersea Restaurant, where you can enjoy European cuisine, you get to eat your food 5 meters below sea level. For a taste of Maldives' seafood, you can eat at Muraka. They don't only serve seafood, but they also have an international menu. Looking for a place to stay? You might want to stay at Malahini Kuda Bandos Resort, for a nice place to stay and a nice view, you might want to stay at Hotel Ocean Grand at Hulhumale.
